ABOUT

My mom signed me up for my first art lessons when I was 12 years old. My best friend and I walked to the local art gallery every Tuesday evening and sat with the other aspiring artists to learn oil painting with Mr. Sanchez. The average age of his students was 70 and we loved every minute of those classes.

I have discovered and rediscovered my love of painting so many times over the years but I always carry with me something very important I learned from those lessons with Mr. Sanchez and my elderly classmates.

Artists never quit learning and they never quit finding joy in the process. They just keep making art.

Its been more than 30 years since I picked up my first paint brush and I find I’m always beginning again. With my discovery of a new medium the inspiration is ignited and amazing things happen. I hope my art brings you joy and the inspiration to do the things you love.

“Go and make interesting mistakes, make amazing mistakes, make glorious and fantastic mistakes. Break rules. Leave the world more interesting for your being here.”
